Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine – Ouarzazate

Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Agadir. Travel east toward Taroudant, one of southern Morocco’s historic walled cities, where you can explore the old medina and admire its impressive ochre-colored ramparts.

Continue through the Anti-Atlas Mountains toward Taliouine, a region famous for saffron production and dramatic mountain scenery. The road gradually leads toward the landscapes of Ouarzazate, where the architecture, kasbahs and surrounding mountains mark the transition into southern Morocco.

Arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon and enjoy some time to relax or explore the city before your overnight stay.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley

After breakfast, travel toward Aït Ben Haddou, the famous fortified ksar and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through its narrow passages and explore the traditional earthen architecture that has made the site one of Morocco’s most recognizable landmarks.

Continue through Skoura, known for its extensive palm oasis and historic kasbahs, before following the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward the Valley of Roses and Dades Valley.

As you approach the Dades region, the scenery changes to dramatic red cliffs, winding roads and rugged mountain formations. Arrive at your accommodation in the Dades Valley for the evening.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

After breakfast, continue toward the spectacular Todra Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs rise on both sides of the narrow valley. Enjoy a walk through the gorge before continuing east through the landscapes of southeastern Morocco.

Pass through Erfoud, famous for fossils and dates, before reaching Rissani, an important historic trading center on the edge of the Sahara. From here, continue toward Merzouga and the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

In the late afternoon, begin your camel trek into the Sahara. Ride across the dunes while the sun begins to set, then arrive at your desert camp for dinner and an evening beneath the stars.

Day 4: Explore the Merzouga Desert & Nomadic Life

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes before returning to camp for breakfast.

Today is dedicated to discovering the desert region around Merzouga. Travel by 4×4 through the desert landscapes and visit local nomadic communities to learn more about traditional life in the Sahara. Continue to Khamlia, a village known for its Gnawa musical heritage, before exploring the surrounding desert and oasis landscapes.

For those looking for more adventure, optional activities such as quad biking can be arranged. Return to your accommodation in Merzouga in the afternoon and enjoy another evening surrounded by the desert.

Day 5: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Agdz

Leave Merzouga after breakfast and travel west through the desert landscapes toward the Draa Valley. This vast oasis is characterized by thousands of date palms, traditional villages and ancient kasbahs stretching along the Draa River.

Continue toward Agdz, a historic oasis town surrounded by palm groves and mountain landscapes. Enjoy a relaxed evening in this quieter part of southern Morocco.

Day 6: Agdz – Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, continue toward Ouarzazate before beginning the journey north toward Marrakech. Depending on your interests and timing, you can stop for photographs or sightseeing around Ouarzazate before crossing the High Atlas Mountains.

The road climbs toward the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass, where panoramic mountain views accompany the winding journey across the Atlas. Continue toward Marrakech, arriving in the afternoon or early evening.

After checking into your accommodation, enjoy some free time to explore the medina or experience the atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fna.

Day 7: Marrakech Medina – Souks – Jemaa el-Fna – End of Tour

Your final day is dedicated to discovering Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most fascinating historic cities. With your local guide, explore the medina and its maze of traditional streets and souks.

Depending on your interests, the sightseeing program can include landmarks such as Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Mosque and the traditional souks. Take time to discover Moroccan handicrafts, spices, leather goods and colorful textiles.

Finish your journey at Jemaa el-Fna, Marrakech’s famous central square, before being transferred to Marrakech Airport or your next accommodation.
