Day 1: Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges

Your adventure begins with pickup from your accommodation in Ouarzazate. Your first stop is Aït Ben Haddou, the famous fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its narrow clay-brick alleys and discover the history of one of southern Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs.

Continue to the Skoura Oasis, where you will visit Kasbah Amridil, one of the region’s best-preserved traditional kasbahs. From here, follow the scenic Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through traditional villages and palm-filled landscapes.

Continue through the Valley of Roses, known for its fragrant rose fields and locally produced rose-based products. The journey then takes you through the dramatic landscapes of Dades Valley before reaching the impressive Todra Gorges, where you will spend the night surrounded by towering canyon walls.

Day 2: Todra Gorges – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

After breakfast, explore Todra Gorges and enjoy a short walk through the spectacular canyon. Continue towards the Sahara through the Ziz Valley, known for its extensive palm groves, oases, and dramatic landscapes.

Arrive in Erfoud, a town famous for its fossils and minerals. Visit a local fossil workshop to learn about the region’s prehistoric heritage and how fossils are transformed into decorative pieces and handicrafts.

Continue to Rissani, a historic town associated with the origins of Morocco’s current royal dynasty. Explore its traditional atmosphere before continuing towards Merzouga.

Arrive at the Erg Chebbi dunes in the afternoon and begin your camel trek across the golden Sahara. Watch the sunset from the dunes before reaching your desert camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner, local hospitality, and an evening beneath the stars.

Day 3: Explore the Merzouga Desert

Wake early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes before enjoying breakfast. Today is dedicated to discovering the desert surroundings and experiencing the culture and landscapes of the Merzouga region.

Visit Khamlia village, famous for its Gnawa musicians and traditional music. Continue to the M’Fis mining area and explore the desert landscapes before visiting a local oasis.

You will also have the opportunity to meet a nomadic family and learn about their traditional way of life in the Sahara. Return towards Merzouga with time to relax, enjoy the dunes, or try sandboarding before spending another peaceful evening in the desert.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Agdez – Ouarzazate

Wake early for another beautiful sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, leave Merzouga and begin your journey back towards Ouarzazate.

Travel through Rissani before continuing along the scenic Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s most important palm-growing regions. The route is surrounded by extensive palm groves, traditional villages, and ancient kasbahs, offering plenty of opportunities to enjoy the changing landscapes.

Stop for lunch in Agdez before continuing through the Anti-Atlas landscapes towards Ouarzazate. Arrive in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon, marking the end of your four-day desert adventure.
