7 Days in Morocco Itinerary from Casablanca

Day 1: Casablanca Arrival

Arrive in Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic capital. Visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque overlooking the Atlantic Ocean before exploring Mohammed V Square, the Corniche, and the famous Rick’s Café (time permitting). Overnight in Casablanca.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, travel along Morocco’s Atlantic coastline to Rabat, where you’ll visit Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Continue through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City, where you’ll have time to stroll through its picturesque streets before spending the night.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Enjoy a morning walk through Chefchaouen before heading to the UNESCO-listed Roman ruins of Volubilis. Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, to visit Bab Mansour, the Royal Granaries, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Later, travel to Fes for an overnight stay in a traditional riad.

Day 4: Guided Tour of Fes

Discover the cultural capital of Morocco with a local guide. Explore the Royal Palace gates, the Jewish Quarter, the UNESCO-listed Fes Medina, Bou Inania Madrasa, Al Quaraouiyine University, the famous Chouara Tanneries, artisan workshops, and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the ancient city.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Leave Fes behind as you cross the Middle Atlas Mountains. Visit Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” stop in the cedar forests to see Barbary macaques, and continue through Midelt and the scenic Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga. Enjoy a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes before spending the night in a luxury Sahara desert camp.

Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Wake early to admire the sunrise over the Sahara before returning to Merzouga. Visit the traditional market of Rissani and continue through Erfoud to the spectacular Todra Gorge. After exploring the canyon, travel through Boumalne Dades and stop at the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations before spending the night in Dades Valley.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou – Marrakech

Travel through the Valley of Roses and Skoura Oasis before arriving in Ouarzazate, Morocco’s famous film city. Visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou before crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, where your unforgettable 7-day Morocco adventure comes to an end.
